Our CEO: John Hegemann
John was born and raised in Petersburg Nebraska, so of course he is a seasoned 'Huskers' fan.
After High School, John joined the US Navy and became an Aviation Electrician's Mate (AEM), later transferring to the Navy's well-known 'Construction Battallion', the famed 'CBs' ('SeaBees').
After the service John enrolled in San Diego City College, and Cerritos City College, and later the AZ College of Electronics.
Before moving to Tucson in 1971, John worked with Pratt-Whitney, and Cleveland Machine Tools
as an Electrician/Supervisor.
He got his AZ Electrical Contractor's License in 1972 and started Hegemann Electric here in Tucson, now Valley Energy Corp.
John is currently enjoying 'semi-retirement', acting as VEC's ambassador to the Tucson community, while Brad runs the day-to-day business
of Electrical Contracting.
John has 2 adult 'kids', Steve and Stacie.

Our Prez: Brad Hegemann
Brad is seldom seen without a smile on his face or a quick joke to tell. But when it comes to work, he is committed to getting the job done right and on time.
“Quality & Service is what sets us apart”.
Brad moved to Tucson in 1978 and started working for his brother John shortly after that. After a couple of years of doing grunt work, Brad went through an Electrical apprenticeship program and graduated in 1984 and has done a wide verity of electrical work ever since.
In 2001 he became licensed in New Mexico and Arizona and is currently the qualifying party for Valley Energy Corp.
Brad takes on the mantle of Project Manager and Field Superintendent for VEC's construction projects, and dips into estimating when the need arises.
Like John, Brad is active with various charities in Tucson, including the Arizona Children's Foundation.

Our Estimator: Doug Noyce
Doug arrived in Tucson with his family in 1974, pliers and screwdriver in hand, by which time he had already served for 3 years as an electrical inspector for the City of New York, and then a licensed Electrical Contractor in NY State for the next 5 years.
He began work in Tucson as superintendent for the now defunct Star Electric, then for several other Tucson contractors. Doug spent 5 years as a superintendent on the construction of the Tucson Mall, and when completed, became Construction Supervisor for Sunnyside School District for 3 years before moving to Los Angeles with the Corps of Engineers and DoD for the next 8 years, as an Electrical Engineer Tech.
'Retired' from DoD in 1997, Doug moved to Wisconsin after a short stint back in Tucson with Carondelet Health Network as Construction Coordinator, and became an electrical inspector again, for the State of Wisconsin, for another 7 years.
'Retired' again in 2005, he moved back to Tucson, where he is now working on his 3rd retirement, as estimator for VEC, as well as a licensed Home Inspector.
Doug is widowed, with 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren, all living in Tucson. He is an avid photographer, motorcyclist, and computer buff.

Our Office Mgr: Diane Hegemann
Diane is our ray of sunshine here at VEC.
Always with a warm smile and a funny quip, but ever working to improve the 'business machine' that is Valley Energy Corp.
Administrator, receptionist, secretary, bookkeeper, collection agent, are just a few of the hats she wears during her long days in her tiny office.
'Get 'er Done' is her personal anthem. We'd be lost without her!
